SAFETY & HLTH OCCUP SPEC

You will serve as a SAFETY & HLTH OCCUP SPEC in the RISK MANAGEMENT BRANCH of MCLB ALBANY GA.


  • You will perform safety compliance inspections of all workplaces, training areas and facilities.
  • You will input inspection results into an automated system to capture inconsistencies and violations.
  • You will recommend corrective action to increase the effectiveness of safety features.
  • You will administer and mange a variety of sub-programs assigned.
  • You will ensure program is in full compliance with applicable standards by authoring a comprehensive and detailed written program.
  • You will plan and carry out investigations and associated analyses of material damage, personal injury mishaps and cases of occupational illnesses.
  • You will prepare reports and taskers on any accident trends, illnesses or safety related topics.

Requirements

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, administering and coordinating a safety and occupational health inspection program to include safety sub-programs (e.g. Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety, Explosive Safety, Hazard Communication), safety training, AND accident/mishaps investigations. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ???????assisting with planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, administering and coordinating a safety and occupational health inspection program to include safety sub-programs (e.g. Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety, Explosive Safety, Hazard Communication), safety training, AND accident/mishaps investigations.
